Hey guy's,
Ara here.
So last week passed me by like a flash. I haven't managed to finish my newest chapter yet... I've had a lot on my plate. but the chapter will be done soon.
In the meantime I promised a surprise in my last post, so here it is:

Art by the fantastically talented Jade Annabel.

These images are of the four Gods of Jiold, the world of Thief's Log.
They've been in the works for awhile and I was so excited to see them completed!
I have added cropped versions to the homepage and larger versions to the Thief's Log landing.
I'm hoping to get some more pieces like this in the future.
A something of a substitute for last weeks chapter, here's a new poem. It will be added to the third poetry page in the River.
Nothing Remains
Sky’s ablaze
A red dawn
She walks on
Un-phased
Dried blood
Not her own
Head to toe
Mixed in mud
A cry
All she had
But no sound
Just a sigh
All was lost
Or broken
Just rust
And dust
To her knees
She falls
Energy spent
Finally at ease
A fitting end
For a killer
Alone
No amends
Was it deserved?
She’ll be dust
Soon as well
Purpose served
I was told that this one is quite dark... Maybe it is. Like all poetry the meaning in all up to individual interpretation.
However for me I feel that this is all about depression and survivors guilt. It's these lies that we tell ourselves in the depths of despair. Blame that we can't put on anyone or anything else. Thus all we can do is blame ourselves until we either overcome it or it consumes us.
Okay, I suppose it is kind of dark.
Hope you enjoyed. I'll be back soon with the new chapter of Thief's Log from last week. I'm going to try an produce a second chapter later in the week too. If I can. Not sure what at this stage, we'll see what comes to me. Ta-ta.
