I'm back, with Poems

Hey guys,

Ara here.

Sorry for the delay.

If you've been keeping an eye on the Purg facebook page you'll know that my computer died a few weeks ago.

My new PC arrived this evening, and I'm just getting everything sorted out.

So there will be a proper release of two Thief's Log chapters in the next few days.

In the meantime here are some new poems.

Just Don't

I don’t need you Don’t try to pick up the pieces Of my broken heart That is not your place Leave them where they fall

I don’t need them The shards that survive Show my truth And my strength Both raw and innocent

It is not for you To see the things I hide Behind a mask of indifference If I must break Let me be alone

I don’t need it Your self-serving pity Or those shallow sympathies They only make me worse Reinforce the self-hatred

You don’t understand Even if you think you do Our feelings are different As are our needs In time we may align again

I must ruminate Gather myself back Bind the pieces together again And replace the mask That you recognize as me

It’s not you Please understand that As none are welcome Not now, and not here I seek only the solace of me…

This second poem was written for my dear friends Ing and Reubs.

Immovable Imprint

A moment in time

Frozen

By memory

Always to be with you

The future matters little

Not in that moment

For everything is there

In such vivid beauty

Such emotions

The tears we shed

Gently

They are born of joy

Those who matter

Will smile

And cry with you

Because they see it

The light in your eyes

The moment

All your own

To hold dear forever

I dug up another old poem today. This one was for my friends Jess and Millsy.

It was one of the first poems that I ever wrote, so it's a little messy.

I've made a few slight edits, and I'm changing the name...

Together

A fleeting moment

Life. Love.

That which we cling to

That which is sacred to life

Two entwined lives

Beauty

To live

To love

Is simply to be

To stand

Upon the precipice of emotion

Because emotion is never wasted

No matter how fleeting

Nor pained

The feeling that impacts us most

Keeps us strong

Keeps us connected

It envelops

It remains

It binds

It liberates

This thing we call love

Is an answer to life

All poems will be uploaded to the forth page of poems in the River.

I've also finished updating all the landing of the Neweth, Ghost, High & Low, ANGEL, and Half Life landings. Every series has now been updated, so have a look next time you click through.

I'll be back soon with a chapter dump.

Until then, ta-ta.
