Happy Holidays!

Hey guys,

Ara here.

I'll start off today by wishing you all wonderful holiday season. Hopefully the strife in the world doesn't take away from you connecting with those dearest to you.

Unfortunately I am behind schedule this week. The worst part is that I only have myself to blame on this one.

Due to this hold up in my brain cogs, I don't have a release prepared for tonight as I had hopped to.

I am close on several chapters, I'm just having a hard time focusing. I will complete the new chapter that I'm working on over the next few days.

I am aiming to get at least one chapter out this week. So I can try and catch up on lost time and to end the year on a high note.

We'll see how that goes.

But I don't come to this day empty handed.

I have a new poem. It may need a little refinement, but I thought I'd share it here in my blog tonight.

This poem will make its way onto one of the poetry pages soon enough, so think of this a a preview.

I call it:

You or Me?

There is a boy across the street.

He and I are not the same.

We only share a name.

When we play with friends,

It's hard.

I don't know who they mean,

When they call my name.

We are not the same.

Only share a name.

There is a boy across the street,

I long to meet.

It's awkward.

Every time I think of him,

It's my name I repeat.

We are not the same.

We only share a name.

I am me.

Simple me.

He is him.

So fascinating.

And so,

My feelings grow.

Even though I know,

We are not the same.

I am me.

He is him.

I can't stop myself from whispering,

His name,

My name.

There is a man across the street.

My secrets are mine to keep.

Because we are not the same.

Then one night he came to call,

Knocking on my old front door.

In his eyes,

Plain to see,

Beauty.

He is not like me.

Not like me.

Even so,

If I am me,

And he is he,

Why?

A name.

A name.

Does not make us the same.

There is a man across the street.

He and I are not the same.

Yet we share our name.

I look in his eyes and wonder why,

Or how,

I deserve to be called the same?

He called on me constantly,

Until finally we agreed,

That we should share both names.

How funny would that be?

What do you think?

Good, bad or just ugly?

If you want to see more poetry please let me know as I seem to have a good mindset for it at the moment.

I've also had the suggestion of publishing a poetry book, when I have enough written. If you'd be interested in this please let me know.

I recently noticed that the River landing wasn't showing properly on mobile. I've fixed it now, but if you have any issues please give me a yell as I'd like to fix these issues asap so that everyone has the optimum view of the Purg.

You may also notice that I've begun setting up some header buttons and (if you look carefully you may also find a list of potential headings) for the Concept category within the River. I am getting ready to post some information there, but things have become more complicated then I originally anticipated.

Concepts is no longer a simple outline of ideas that are floating through my head... It has become something of a guide to the potential places in the Dreamscape, written from the perspective of a mysterious author.

Who knows how it'll turn out... Perhaps yet another standalone work. Or something more?

I hope to release small concept chapters every now and then. I also want to mention that these are just early concepts and the final version of these places, people, and things may vary from these write ups.

Look forward to the first concept vestige, which will be posted soon.

That's all for now.

Have a great weekend!

Ta-ta.
